Houston Aeros’ Ryan Lannon, Jon DiSalvatore, Robbie Earl, Jamie Fraser, and Clayton Stoner made over 500 turkey sandwiches at Kids’ Meals Houston on Thursday, October 22, 2009. The guys put their aprons, hair nets, and plastic gloves on in order help out approximately 1,200 pre-school aged children who are living in poverty and are in the need of food. In 2008, Kids’ Meals delivered 260,000 lunches with 6,000 volunteers and a staff of only six. Kids’ Meals is looking to deliver 300,000 this year. The five players were happy to sign autographs, bring t-shirts, tattoos, hockey pucks, rally towels and calendars. After making the turkey sandwiches, the players stayed to color and play with the children. Kids’ Meals Houston was extremely thankful that the Houston Aeros players participated in such a great cause and the players were happy to help.
